DR. DANNY POND
Co-Owner/General Dentist
Dr. Pond was born and raised in Lewisporte, NL and completed his Bachelor of Science degree with honours at Memorial University of Newfoundland in 2005. He went on to complete his Master of Business Administration at Saint Mary’s University in 2010 and then graduated from Dalhousie University’s Doctor of Dental Surgery program in 2013. Dr. Pond enjoys getting to know his patients and doing what he can to ensure they have a healthy smile. Providing a positive experience for both adults and children are very important to him. While not practicing dentistry, Dr. Pond has been a huge WWE wrestling fan ever since he was a child. Now it’s evolved further into appreciating the history and business aspect of it, but there’s not a match he will miss. The storylines still get him every time. Dr. Pond enjoys spending time with his family, exercising (running/spin), watching hockey, time in the outdoors, and he is likely the biggest Blue Rodeo fan in all of Newfoundland.
DR. RYAN CALLAHAN
General Dentist
Dr. Callahan was born and raised in Paradise, NL. He completed his Bachelor of Science at Memorial University of Newfoundland in 2017. He completed his Doctor of Dental Surgery at Dalhousie University in 2021. Dr. Callahan enjoys meeting new patients and helping them to achieve their perfect smile. Dr. Callahan enjoys all aspects of dentistry and likes to do a wide variety of procedures. His hobbies include reading, movies, video games, puzzles, playing guitar, hiking, snowboarding, and playing with his dog Wilson.
DR. SALEH GHASSEMI-RAD
General Dentist
Dr. Ghassemi-Rad immigrated to Canada from Iran in 2009. He completed three years of bachelor of science degree at Dalhousie University before being accepted into Doctor of Dental Surgery program at Dalhousie and graduating in 2021. Dr. Ghassemi-Rad is passionate about helping his patients smile and provide them with treatment options that fulfill their dental needs. He enjoys all aspects of dentistry, most importantly being able to interact with different people daily and getting to help them on an individual basis. Outside dentistry, his hobbies include working out, watching movies and travelling.
DR. PAT REDMOND
Co-Owner/Manager – General Dentist
Dr. Redmond is co-owner/manager and has practiced as a general dentist in Gander, NL since 1995. Raised in rural Nova Scotia and a graduate of Dalhousie’s Doctor of Dental Surgery program, he practiced in the Canadian Armed Forces for three years before moving to Gander and opening his own practice. He enjoys all aspects of general dentistry and provides services including root canals, orthodontics, wisdom teeth extractions, veneers, dentures, and crown and bridge. Dr. Redmond and his wife Madonna have two daughters, and his hobbies include tennis, squash, skiing, fishing, and volunteering. Dr. Redmond is treasurer of the Newfoundland and Labrador Dental Association, President of Gander Community Tennis Association, a Director of Tennis Newfoundland, and has been involved in many local organizations such as the Gander Airport Authority, Gander Trailways Committee, and the Gander and Area Chamber of Commerce.
